In the rest of this piece, I’ll share my thoughts on the host’s pricing, support, overall features, performance and ease of use… important metrics that’d help you decide if it’s the hosting provider for you.

Chemicloud is a very young host – founded just in 2016, and has experienced healthy growth in its 6-year life. Chemicloud provides shared, VPS, reseller and cloud VPS hosting as its core plans… and then offers WordPress-optimized for… you guessed it… WordPress sites.

The company now hosts about 80,000 websites, is powered by 11 data centers, and is also independently owned. On all their plans you get a free domain and SSL certificate, SSD storage, free website migration, and unmetered bandwidth (for their shared plans).

Chemicloud does not have a BBB rating (reserved for U.S companies), however, from over 434 reviews, the hosting provider is rated 4.9/5.0 on Trustpilot.

One very important factor to consider when evaluating whether a host is right for you is its performance. So how do you measure the host’s performance? Some important performance metrics to measure are its speed, uptime, and average fully loaded time.

• For speed, I usually like to measure the time to first byte (TTFB) – basically how quickly the host’s servers start sending data to a user visiting your website.
• For the uptime, any host you are considering should have a 99.9% uptime guarantee which has become the industry’s standard.

To measure Chemicloud’s performance, I tested dagrafixdesigns.com – a website hosting on the platform to test its TTFB and overall performance.

These were the results:

On GTMetrix, the website had a remarkable 156 ms and a fully loaded time of 1.3s. The website also had an overall performance of 89%:

Do note, however, that the overall performance is not the same as the uptime. Also, the fully loaded time depends a lot on the website design and website structure.

Yes! You don’t see them so often. As a visual learner (learn more effectively via video), I especially liked Chemicloud’s video tutorials.

However, their videos are actually not hosted on their website – I guess to improve speed – but rather on their YouTube channel.

User-Friendliness – Ease of use

Registration

To register and signup on Chemicloud, you’d just need to pay for one of their hosting plans, fill in your details, and it’s done.

From the homepage, simply click ‘View plan and pricing’:

Choose any of the plans you want – shared, VPS, WordPress, reseller – and click ‘Get started now’. Next, you’d be asked for your domain info whether you want to register a domain for free or you already have a domain.

Type in your domain name and click ‘Use’. You’ll then be redirected to the additional info page where you can choose your server location, enter a promo code, and choose extra addons.

Click ‘Continue’ and proceed to the checkout page where you’d be asked for your personal details and payment method details. Fill in the forms and voila! Your account is ready.

Installing WordPress on Chemicloud

If your website is powered by WordPress, it’s best to go for Chemicloud’ WordPress plans. You get 1-click installs, free website migration, and 1-click WordPress staging.

To install WordPress in the Chemicloud cPanel, you’ll use the Softaculous app installer in cPanel. Click on the WordPress logo in the installer and then ‘Install Now’.

Next, fill in the details – domain, website name, site meta description, set up your admin details – password and email… and click ‘Install’.

You now have WordPress and can login whenever you want.

Add Email Account on Chemicloud

The quickest way to add an email account on Chemicloud is to do it in cPanel. You can login to your cPanel straight from your account dashboard.

Once you’re in, navigate to ‘Email Accounts’ under ‘Email’. Click ‘CREATE+’ and fill in the necessary email info – address, domain it will be tied to, password, mailbox size, and finally, choose ‘Do not automatically create folders’:

Conclusion: Do We Recommend Chemicloud?

Chemicloud is a young hosting company that’s making a name for itself and their packages are indeed awesome. First, they have incredible support, a super-intuitive UI designed with beginners in mind, and a great money-back guarantee.

I recommend Chemicloud as an excellent host overall with good value for money. Their servers are also impressively fast, so your website will load just as quick. My only issues with them will be that they don’t offer phone support and they also don’t offer dedicated hosting.

Aside from those though, I really like how straight to the point their packages are making it incredibly easy to decide what’s right for you and get started with them.
