Zoner has a variety of hosting options for their customers, and they own servers located in Paris, Frankfurt, Bucharest, London, Washington, Los Angeles, and Beauharnais. They are focused mostly on entry level hosting solutions, though they do have some other options that can meet the needs of higher end users as well. They seem to be a part of a larger company, and their website is very vague when it comes to giving details about the company itself, which is a little unsettling.
From what I have been able to find, however, they do seem to have good overall services, and their users are happy with them. I haven’t been able to find anyone doing too much complaining about things like uptime, speed, support, or any of the other most common hosting complaints, so that is a good sign.
While I don’t see any type of uptime guarantee, I also couldn’t find anyone complaining about downtime, slowness or any other issues. They do have optional DDoS protection, which can help to keep your site up and running even if it is attacked by hackers. The hardware and data centers they use appear to be properly maintained as well, which helps to ensure a stable environment for all users.
Zoner does a good job at conveying all the information you would need about the hosting they provide. Everything is broken down into charts to let you know exactly what you are getting, where it is based, and more. While their website does leave a lot to be desired in many ways, the list of features is nice.
Their dedicated servers come in at four levels, and you can customize them quite nicely. They start with 8 gigs of RAM, and that goes up to a max of 32 gigs. You’ll also get to choose from a few different Intel CPUs to power the servers. Moving to the VPS list, they have three main options, and choosing what you want is easy. Just slide a bar across the screen to view the different feature lists for each one. It would be nice if they had more options, but most people will be able to find a hosting package that meets their needs.
The support with this company is limited at best since they don’t really provide any information on how they can help you. I didn’t see people complaining about the support, which is a good sign, but it is hard to know what to expect based on what the company puts out there. They also don’t have any self-help information, which can make running a site more difficult than it needs to be.
The price list with this company is pretty standard. VPS solutions start at 9.99 Euro per month and go up to 24.99 per month. For what you are getting, these prices are quite reasonable. The dedicated servers start at 99 Euro per month, and go up to 129. This is not a very large range, which is not surprising since the exact features aren’t too different. If you choose to customize your servers, however, the price will go up from there.
While the company itself seems to be helpful and easy to work with, their website is really not very nice at all. Many of the pages have broken links, they don’t provide much information that you would want, and finding what you need is too difficult. If they would go through and do a complete redesign on their site, it would make their user friendliness much better.
The hosting with this company is not too bad, and they really do have a lot to offer their users. From the appearance of their website and some other issues, however, it seems likely that hosting is not the main focus for their business. In order to really turn this into a great hosting company, they need to invest some time into making their website easier to use and provide more information to the users.
