I'm going to quick with my comment. All these negative reviews about TSO Host make no sense, whatsoever. Either they are bot related or the people using the (TSO Host) service are two sandwiches short...Read More of a picnic. Either way, something seems amiss.

I have used TSO Host for many years. Their customer service is amazingly friendly, informative and helpful. Problems/questions are answered and rectified very quickly.

I have no idea what these 'reviewers' are reviewing. I cannot agree with any of them!

Incompetent Liars -

This company was bought out by Godaddy and went down the toilet, their service was so poor they removed their phone support line, and say they offer live chat support, but they dont. You get a person who says they cant help with t...Read Morehat (pretty much regardless of the problem) and then ask you to open a support ticket.

Their support ticket system give an error 90% of the time when you try to post a ticket saying "Error Access Denied", the people on the live chat support refuse to admit that they are aware of the problem. I verified with other clients (I run a web design company and had many clients who use them for hosting) and they also had the same problem.

When you do finally get a ticket submitted they try to either deny the problem or say it is on your website and beyond the scope of their support, (it was a problem with the SSL certificate they installed wrong) so I deleted the website and the domain is still forwarding to someone elses website via their SSL redirect, despite this they still refuse to acknowledge the issue and fix it.
All they need to do is delete the SSL certificate and then reinstall a new one, but they refuse to do it, and because of the way the account is configured, we do not have access to do it ourselves. We have been waiting and chasing them for days with no support.

They charge the same price for the hosting account that others charge for a reseller account, it it only has a single Cpanel, all other websites are added as additional domains, so you have no access to create backups for individual sites or to set any php settings or any other other normal controls for each site.

They are the ones that decided to move us to this new account after they shut down their old servers and deleted our websites, losing them and costing us a fortune. This company is dishonest, utterly useless and to be avoided.

They claim it's 24/7/365 with Live Chat, but Live Chat does not exist!! They have cancelled their phone services and what is worst is that their support ticket service has become excruciatingly slow and inefficient. I have had several occasions when my website froze, emails not working, setting unexpectedly changed and now they are requiring their clients (me) to adjust some DNS record settings, of which obviously I have no clue...and they are not offering any support. Ive yet to have the other means of contact work. I had one ticket that lasted over a year that was to do with failure of sending emails from my ios device that continually failed down to a reason that was never understood, never sorted and persisted until the day i gladly left 18 months later. With TSOHost I just feel its all vacuous help; last help needed before i left was to change the ips tag not done as it was greeted out so i could not do it; Another was to allow my new provider to take over my services that they, my new provider told me, they were deliberately not doing. To be honest in the end it seemed like they were being deliberately purile and standing in the way of the transfer. I CERTAINLY will not miss their Standard of service!!Less

100% avoid TSOHOST for all cost.
I was a lojal customer to Gridhoast for more than 8 years, now in last 1.5 years I had nothing else but a problems with them. 0 support at all.
I was one of unlucky ones whith a "B" site...Read More which most of the time was unusable with a loading speed of 12 - 15 seconds. Their support could do nothing.
My marketing campaign is due to start now but my site is down due to their server fault. Can not get any support again.
Also price for their plan was increased, it went up by 4 times without my consent.

To the first oportunity I will be running away from then.

Dire service, product was unfit for use

Terrible service. First they lost most of my data during migration (a manual migration because Tsohost said they don't provide any migration tools). Their system just wouldn't import the lost data no matter how often one tried. I ...Read Morewas migrating from a product (from my initial provider who Tsohost had bought out) that Tsohost was discontinuing. Good thing I'd kept backups of everything prior to starting the migration. Then the email part of the product I'd purchased no longer worked properly with several email messages sent to the email address not arriving and messages sent out not being delivered to the recipient. This happened regardless of how small the message was.
Tsohost customer support wouldn't investigate the problem and suggested it was my fault for using old out-dated computer and/or having bad internet. They refused to consider that there might be an issue on their end. This led me to immediately transfer to another hosting provider. My new provider had a quick, seamless migration without any loss of data whatsoever. And my email was back working as it should. So much for Tsohost's insistence that the problem was with my computer and internet connection!

Now, thirdly, 14 months after leaving Tsohost they're sending me renewal notifications for an unwanted, unused domain that they'd added onto my account as a requirement for use of one of their product (a product which I no longer have). The domain was already set to "let expire", plus I'd already instructed Tsohost to close my account. So, why is their system sending renewal emails to a past customer for a domain that's been set to expire? Several emails to Tsohost support have once again proved useless as Tsohost have not acted on the emails and are still sending renewal notifications.

Shockingly Bad - They Should Be Shut Down

Hate is a strong word… but I hate this company. The TSOHost management are so nasty and incompetent that I only wish utter failure on them all.

They decided to “terminate the platform” I was on, due to the fact they were not go...Read Moreing to support it anymore. OK, fair enough, I thought. I understood the reasons and accepted it.

They then told me I had less than 6 weeks to get all my client’s websites and email accounts off the server or they would delete everything. After speaking to them for a few days, they then declared that they would not give me access to use Plesk Migration tools and that I had to do the entire migration manually. Over 100 accounts. Literally, by hand. With zero help from them.

I couldn’t believe their attitude - it was basically ‘oh sorry, whatever, have a nice day’. The arrogance was astonishing.

So far, it has taken me about 150 hours, day and night around my full time job, which I have come close to losing. I don’t see my family at the weekends, untold stress between myself and my clients, coming at the worst time of the year, a few weeks before Christmas. An absolute nightmare.

I wish nothing but bad luck on this shower of a company. They should be shut down.

And don’t fall for the “excellent" reviews on Trust Pilot!!! Just read them carefully and you will easily see the pattern.

The only silver lining of this horrible experience was finding my new server company and realising that I had been stuck in the dark ages for years. It is SO much better where I am now and I now know I should have moved years ago. If you read this and then decide to go with TSOHost, just be aware, that this company only care about money, they detest their customers and they will stab you in the back at some point.

Well established UK hosting company

TSOHost is a UK based hosting company that is a member of the Paragon Internet Group, which owns several other hosting companies too.  Established in 2003, they have plenty of experience and have been able to keep up with the changing technologies in the web hosting industry.  They are a mid-sized hosting company, with about 150,000 sites on their servers.

They have a wide range of hosting packages to choose from including shared, VPS, dedicated and a custom cloud hosting service they call ‘complex hosting.’  Each of these options will allow you to choose the right set of features for your specific site needs.

They don’t offer any unlimited plans, but the resources at each price point are going to be more than enough for most typical websites.

Uptime & Reliability

Nice uptime guarantees with generous refunds for failing to meet SLAs

Most of the plans on this host provide a 99.9% uptime guarantee, and if they miss this target you will get a free week of service.  When you go up to dedicated server plans or other high end plan options, the guarantee goes up to 99.95%.

They also offer a four hour hardware replacement guarantee for their higher end hosting packages (specifically the dedicated servers and complex hosting options).  This is especially important for the dedicated servers where hardware failures can cause downtime.

All the servers are housed in a modern data center with physical security, redundant power options and many other great features.


Nice features at every price point

They have a lot of different hosting packages to choose from, which can get a bit overwhelming for those who aren’t sure what they need.  That being said, however, they do have something for everyone.  Their four shared hosting packages allow you to choose between Linux or Windows (except the lowest package, which is Linux only).

They do have a reseller option, but unlike most other hosts, it isn’t its own package.  Instead it is just an option that can be added on to the cloud hosting plan (for an extra fee).  This will allow you to perform all the typically reselling options.  This is still not an unlimited plan, however, so you’ll need to keep an eye on the resources used by any customers.

Finally, they have a ‘complex hosting’ package that allows you to create a private cloud hosting solution that is set up specifically for your needs.  This is a nice option for those who are using their site for things like eCommerce or other very specific things.


Limited phone support but fast responses 24/7

The phone support is only available 9AM-11PM GMT, which can be a concern for people who like to be able to call in with issues.  They do have a nice ticketing system that is monitored 24/7 and typically provide a very fast response time.  Their tech support teams have backup hardware for all their equipment so they can fix any of these issues right away.


Average prices at every hosting package

There is really not much to say about their pricing other than you will be getting what you pay for (and maybe a little more).  They start out with a low cost entry level option and it moves up incrementally from there all the way to their dedicated or complex hosting packages.  There aren’t really any great deals, but you also aren’t going to feel like you’re over paying.


Excellent hosting for any UK website

Overall there is not too much bad that can be said of this hosting company.  They have nice, reliable services that will allow you to get up and running quickly and then keep your site up long into the future.  They also have great features for all types of websites.
