While they only have data centers in Sao Pablo, Brazil, they are in a world-class secure, controlled, and reliable location. In addition to that, they offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee that allows you to cancel your plan or get a refund if any issues arise. Even more important then that, Mimhospeda is big on security, running constant checks and 24/7 monitoring of their servers making sure viruses, malware, and trojan horses don’t make their way on both, shared and private servers. They don’t tolerate illegal, racist, or immoral material, so you know that they care about what customers they have and don’t just look to make a buck — at the expense of every other customer.
They have three main services that they offer: basic shared hosting servers, reseller accounts, and virtual private servers. They have three shared hosting plans that include at least 20GB of bandwidth, ranging up to 2TB. Disk space is also in between 1GB and 40GB, depending on which plan. All servers run on Linux with the newest version of cPanel installed and ready to go. While the space may seem low, its important to remember they are RAID-10 disk drives that are the fastest AND most reliable hard drives on the market.
They have two reseller plans (also running the newest version of WHM), and even the low end plan allows you to create unlimited cPanel accounts (with a 20GB space/200GB bandwidth limit). You can change that to 50 and 500 by purchasing the GOLD plan rather than SILVER. In addition to the shared hosting accounts, they offer three types of virtual servers that run on an OpenVZ version of Linux. ALL of their VPS include unlimited traffic, 1-2 free IP addresses, and a wide range of processing cores, RAM, and disk space to fit whatever need or budget you may have.
They have a 24/7 support staff that includes live chat, phone (only local number) support, as well as your standard ticket system in the client area. Because their website is all in Portuguese, I’m skeptical about their ability to have an English tech support staff, but it’s worth a try. They can also be reached through multiple social media channels, as well as e-mail. If you’re located in Brazil, it will be a much more convenient way to get support. They do have a knowledgeable LINK but with a 404 error — meaning it’s been deleted and not kept up with. Unfortunately, plans start to get a bit more expensive after that, with the Silver plan running for R $30/$11 USD per month, though you do get ten times more disk space and bandwidth, it also costs nearly ten times more. The GOLD plan costs over double more, running at R $70/$26 USD per month. Even though it includes 40GB of SSD disk space, that price is too high for any shared hosting account.
Their reseller plans are surprisingly rather cheap. Reseller SILVER costs R $40/$15 USD, while GOLD is R $60/$22 USD. While the most disk space you’ll get is 50GB, depending on your needs it might be a better choice than the GOLD shared plan, though bandwidth is a lot less. They are well priced reseller plans that will pay for themselves with just a couple of cPanel accounts — and you can make unlimited!
Their VPS are R 30, 40, and 60, depending on which plan you want (in USD, that is 11, 15, and 22 dollars per month), not a bad deal considering you can get up to 4 cores and 2GB of RAM, as well as two dedicated IPs in the high-end plan, all for a VERY cheap VPS price. Brazil is known for their affordable products all around, and web hosting is no exception.
They are the cheapest and most reliable hosting company I’ve seen out of South America. Brazil is currently going through its own dot-com boom and demand for high quality hosts has skyrocketed, but that hasn’t stopped Mimhospeda from keeping their prices low. They don’t have unlimited features or maximum customization like some bigger companies, but plain simply, it gets the job done with no hassles.
