Plenty of nice packages with most items included

Ciberconceito’s home page promotes their three most popular hosting packages.  The entry-level bundle includes 100 MB of disk space, 1 email account and 2 GB of monthly traffic.  The mid-range package increases the number of email accounts to three and the monthly traffic to 4GB.  The premium package consists of 8GB of traffic, five email accounts as well as access to MySQL database services. Linux and Windows platforms are available for virtual and dedicated operations. Specific ASP web hosting is also featured, incorporating unlimited monthly traffic and an increased number of MySQL licenses. For customers who wish to own their own dedicated hardware, location services within Ciberconceito’s data center are available, adding security and controlled climate environments. Web and software development are offered as a separate line of business within Ciberconceito’s repertoire; this could allow smaller-scale users to easily organize and direct their web services.  Reselling is also offered with several features included, such as FrontPage extensions, unlimited databases, traffic management and email re-direction to name a few.  For customers with minimal needs, email services are also available. All of the web pages within Ciberconceito’s site are in Portuguese, with an option to read in English easily available; the translation appears to be seamless.  Many other languages are also available to allow almost anyone to use the company’s offerings.

Good support with some limitations

Support is limited to one phone support call with the basic packages. Virtual servers offer slightly more generous levels; no SLA is listed on the site.  A live chat feature has limited hours of operation, but phone support is listed as 24/7 and a knowledgebase offers customers a chance to fix problems without intervention. .

Pricing

Fair prices all around

Ciberconceito’s menu is very cost-conscious, with the most basic package priced at €7.99 ($9.09US).  As you’d expect, there are several add-on features, such as backup, spam protection, domain registration that could add to the cost but these services appear to be competitively priced to keep overall cost of web operations to a minimum. Virtual Linux server charges start at €11.90 ($13.52US) with the Windows charges starting at €39.90 ($45.35US) with the difference most likely being due to increased licensing fees. Not included in any of the prices is the Portuguese Value Added Tax, (VAT) which is currently 23%.  While this significantly increases costs, the same VAT will be charged on any other Portuguese provider. Dedicated server prices are not listed, but the critical items such as disk space, monthly traffic, RAM, backup, etc appear to be competitive.  Unlike some hosting providers, specific tasks covered under dedicated server agreements are specifically listed, a listing that could save customers time and frustration when trying to restore operations. SSL certificate services are priced at €64.90 ($73.77US).  Server co-location and backup service prices are not listed, but are sure to be in line with Ciberconceito’s value approach to doing business.
