We did a little research of the company, and we noticed that the company is a part of an IT-based service provider formed in 1995, with more than 20 years of experience in the web hosting industry. Can you please tell us a bit more about how this company was founded?

is a part of an international IT-based service provider – The OMC Group. The company was founded by two brothers – Yohay and Asaf Azulay in the mid-late ’90s. The OMC Group (the mother company) was originally started as an IT service provider.

Very quickly, the company understood the need of moving services to the Cloud and started focusing on moving from physical servers to virtual ones. From day one, it was highly important to the two founders to offer Cloud services that are flexible, with great performances, and fairly priced.

We noticed also that is a pioneer in IaaS (Infrastructure as a service). Can you tell us a bit more about this product that you are offering and how you came up with this idea of a product?

Kamatera is providing IaaS service since 2006, back in the days when the x86 virtualization started and VMware released version 1 of its enterprise-class Hypervisor. Since then the market developed dramatically and we started developing our own super-friendly, fully automated web-based management platform with API and CLI developers tools.

What are the main products and services that is offering on the market?

Kamatera focuses on Infrastructure as we believe that this level of service gives our customers the freedom of choosing the best provider for them at any time. And that makes us providing the best products at the infrastructure level such as Cloud Servers (aka. Virtual Private Server, Virtual Machine, Instance, etc.), Cloud Block Storage, Cloud Firewall, Virtual Private Network, etc.

In addition to that Kamatera offers a large variety of added-value services above the infrastructure such as Managed Services, NOC Services, Migration Services, Software Licenses, Web Hosting Panel, and more.

Many of our readers are asking what is the structure of one hosting company. Can you tell us a bit more about how you are organized?

One of

main emphasize is great Customer Support and it builds around it accordingly. It was important for the company to build a strong formation of true professional Customer Support Teams, which will be able to answer all of the customer’s needs 24/7/365 days a year. Moreover, even the live chat on the site is a real human.

Therefore, the structure of the company goes as the following: the majority of Technical Support Teams, NOC, Project Managers, Dev. Ops and Experts, all reporting to the CTO. In addition to the Customer Service, Sales Team, Finance, HR and Marketing Department, while the last one includes Affiliates and Partnerships as well.

As a side note, even though the company grew tremendously in the past 2 decades, it succeeded to maintain the same family and warm environment.

From which industries your customers are coming mostly?

We can’t really point at a specific industry that most of our customers are coming from. We have hundreds of thousands of diverse clients from different sectors, from IT Companies and Enterprises to private individuals, freelancers Developers, and even Graphic and Web designers. In addition, due to the latest changes with COVID – we saw a huge increase in small businesses requiring our services.

Many customers don’t have a clue about how hosting works. What is your approach with those customers in convincing them to become your client?

Our first priority is to understand the clients’ needs and then to find what is the most suitable solution for them. If it’s a solution we believe is needed and we can provide it we will be happy to do so. We always believe VPS Hosting is much better than Web Hosting, especially with our affordable prices, and then the clients wouldn’t need to share their resources with anyone else, and nobody else would be able to affect their performances.

On the opposite side, you also have customers who know a lot about the hosting service. How are you handling those customers?

Our Technical Support Team Response Time and their Professional Technical Skills gives the most advanced customer a great added value, in addition to:

  • Great Performances at Minimum costs
  • Customized and Tailored Made to fit your needs
  • Scalability- Run any Windows & Linux operating system edition, quickly add load balancers firewalls, private networks, and more
  • All SSDs with UNLIMITED TRAFFIC
  • Billing options – Per Month or Per Hour
  • 24/7/365 Tech Human Support
  • 30 Day Free Trial – no strings attached
  • 13 Global Data Centers across 4 continents
  • Quick deployment of more than 40 apps and services with just 1 click.

Covid-19 has been part of our lives for almost 2 years now. How this crisis affected working? Were there any changes?

Unfortunate as the past 2 years with COVID-19 were, to us as a company it only did well. Since more and more companies started to work remotely, the demands for Cloud Services increased dramatically. Other than that, it didn’t have any effect on the company.

A follow-up question. What are your expectations for the following 12 months? Are we seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and what is expected when the pandemic ends?

Regardless of the pandemic, we will be expanding to 6 more new regions in data centers worldwide and more new very interesting products and services to be launched in the next few months.

Where do you see in the next 10 years?

In the Top 10 Worldwide Cloud Computing companies.

Finally, we would be happy if you like to share anything else about the services and products that is offering to the hosting community?

Yes, our vision was always to provide companies and individuals cost-effective, user-friendly and transparent Cloud Services.

I remember in the early days when we did our first steps in the Cloud Sector, we could see how the big players in the industry charge their clients on traffic-based revenues models that were very difficult to understand. Furthermore, the clients didn’t even know what they were charged for and the overall process was very vague. This is where

grew from – we came to give the clients the flexibility to choose the exact services they need and to charge them only for their actual use. The whole point was to create customized and great value for money services, without compromising on the performances, and we will keep on doing so in the next 20 years as well.
