Two Ways to Access Hostinger Webmail
Hostinger gives you two separate paths into the inbox, and they behave differently.
1. Logging In Through hPanel (No Password Prompt)
If you’re already logged into hPanel, this is the quicker option.
- Go to Emails in the hPanel sidebar
- Click Mailboxes next to the domain you want
- Find the mailbox in the Manage mailboxes table and click Webmail
I tested this, and it logged me straight into the inbox with no email or password prompt at all.
hPanel is already authenticated, so it passes that through to webmail automatically. This is the path I’d recommend if you’re managing email alongside your hosting, since you never have to remember a separate password.

2. Logging In Directly at mail.hostinger.com
This is the path most people searching for “Hostinger webmail login” actually want, since it doesn’t require going through hPanel at all.
- Go to mail.hostinger.com
- Enter your full mailbox address (for example, yourname@yourdomain.com)
- Enter the mailbox password
- Click Login
The part that trips people up here is the password. This login screen wants the password you set for that specific mailbox when it was created, not your hPanel account password.
They’re two different credentials, and Hostinger doesn’t make that distinction obvious on the login page itself. If you’ve forgotten which one you used, there’s a Forgot password? link right under the password field.
Bottom Line
Both login paths work reliably, but they’re not interchangeable in terms of what you’ll need. Use hPanel if you want a password-free route straight into your inbox.

What the Hostinger Webmail Inbox Looks Like
Once you’re in, you land on an inbox with a fairly standard layout: Inbox, Drafts, Scheduled, Sent, Spam, Trash, Folders, and Contacts down the left side, plus storage usage tracked at the bottom.
A couple of things stood out during testing. First, Hostinger prompts new users to pick between a row layout and a column layout for how messages display, which is a nice touch if you’re used to a specific email client style.
Second, there’s a built-in Ask AI option in the top bar, along with a banner offering to connect the inbox to ChatGPT for drafting and summarizing. That’s a newer addition and worth knowing about if AI-assisted email management matters to you.
Troubleshooting Hostinger Webmail Login Issues
If you can’t get into webmail, work through these in order:
- Wrong password type: Make sure you’re using the mailbox password, not your hPanel password. This is the most common mix-up.
- No mailbox created yet: Webmail login only works once a mailbox exists under your domain. Check the Mailboxes section in hPanel first.
- Wrong URL: Typing the address manually instead of clicking through from hPanel can lead to confusion about which login form you’re looking at. Stick to mail.hostinger.com for the direct route.
- Forgotten password: Use the Forgot password link on the login screen rather than guessing repeatedly.
- Domain not fully propagated: If the domain was just connected, email routing can take a little while to activate. Give it some time before assuming the login itself is broken.
