Parameter | Score | Why we gave this score |
PRICES | 8.5 | Kamatera is fairly priced and the prices vary as you choose your resources for the cloud. However, I’d give them 8.5 because it can be a bit confusing for a newbie to figure out their requirements. |
FEATURES | 7.8 | Kamatera offers great cloud computing resources. However, I’d give them 7.8 because most of the add-on features are paid. |
PERFORMANCE | 8.0 | Kamatera has an average 341 ms response time. They also give a 99.95% uptime guarantee. However, I’d give them 8.0 because their response time could be better. |
USER FRIENDLINESS | 7.0 | Website and dashboard are clean and intuitive. However, I’d give them 7.0 because if you’re unaware of cloud computing platforms, you might need support to set up your website on the host. |
SUPPORT | 6.0 | They provide 24/7 chat, phone, and email support. However, I’d give them 6.0 because the support agents are quick to respond but don’t know the basics of the platform. |

Performance
When you’re in the market for a web host, there are certain key metrics that you should consider in order to make the best choice. Of course, price and customer service are both important factors, but it is also vital to think about aspects such as page loading time, speed, and uptime.
Page loading time is the amount of time it takes for a website to fully load in a browser. This can also be referred to as “response time” or “time to first byte” and is usually measured in seconds. In general, web pages should load in two or three seconds or less.
Server speed is an indicator of how rapidly the hosting provider’s servers deliver data to your website visitors, while uptime determines the consistency with which these same servers remain online.
Kamatera comes with a 99.95% uptime guarantee. To assess Kamatera’s hosting speed and loading times of peppersource.com, I used GTMetrix to conduct a performance test.
The results were as follows:
parttarget.com had a fair response time (TTFB) of 341 ms and fully loaded time of 9.11 seconds (experts recommend 1-2 seconds).
The domain had an overall performance score of 99% which is great!

Level Of Support
Kamatera provides 24/7 customer service with a variety of contact methods such as phone, email and live chat available so that users can get the help they need quickly and easily.
Phone & Email
Support phone number and email is given on their website. In addition, you can also contact sales before buying a plan:

Live chat
The live chat agent was quick to respond but didn’t answer any of my queries. Instead, he gave me an email to contact although I just asked basic questions. Upon inquiring what basic support includes, he disconnected from the chat which I think was very unprofessional.

FAQs
They have just answered 3-4 questions in their FAQs section with no proper knowledge base.

Installing WordPress on Kamatera
Installing WordPress is not as straightforward as I thought. You have to create a server on the cloud, choose your zone, and install one of the options given under “Apps images”.

I chose Cyberpanel but you can also opt for the traditional CPanel too. Once it’s installed, you can sign in and install WordPress from the Application installer menu.

Add an email account with Kamatera
Email hosting is not provided by Kamatera. However, you can use cPanel to set up email accounts or use any other external email hosting provider.
