GoDaddy offers the same key features on all hosting plans. We’re talking unmetered bandwidth, SSD storage, databases, daily backups, free 1-click apps install, free domain and SSL, and free Microsoft 365 mailboxes.
Their WordPress and Ecommerce plans include extra tools for SEO, email marketing, client management software, ads compatibility, and related tools.
Performance
Next, let’s look at GoDaddy’s performance. Specifically, we’ll rate GoDaddy’s performance based on three important metrics namely – speed, uptime, and average website loading time. These metrics are absolutely crucial to consider, but what do they mean?
To find out a host’s server speed, we simply look at its “time to first byte” (or TTFB) value, which shows the speed by which the servers can send the first byte of data to a user visiting your website.
A host’s uptime is basically their “online time”, which is how consistently the server stays accessible on the internet within a time period. A higher uptime means less downtime, which bodes well for your website.
Finally, your website’s average load time is how long it takes for a web page to be fully loaded. Fully loaded as in functional (i.e its elements can be clicked)
These metrics together determine how well your site will perform on the host. If your host has a high TTFB, then your site will be delivered quicker. If your host has a high uptime (99% by industry standard) then your site will be offline far less. Finally, page loading time is mostly determined by the content of your website.
Like most hosts on the market, GoDaddy promises a 99.9% uptime guarantee. But I used GTMetrix to test everything myself. I ran the test on corporatelaw.jdsupra.com – a website hosted on GoDaddy.

The website’s TTFB was an impressive 150 ms and it’s fully loaded time of 1.2s, which is very good. They also had an excellent overall performance of 94%:

The easiest way to reach GoDaddy’s support team is by calling their telephone number. Phone support is free-of-charge and perfect if you need answers to urgent questions or solutions to urgent problems.
They provide an extensive list of international lines in their Global Directory. There you can find the number to call based on your location.

If you’d rather figure out things by yourself, GoDaddy provides a resource center comprising blog articles, GoDaddy guides, online courses and videos, and a large user community.
User-Friendliness – Ease of use
Registration
GoDaddy’s registration and sign-up process is incredibly easy and straightforward. To register on GoDaddy and have a functioning hosting account, you’ll have to buy one of their hosting plans.
Here’s how to sign up for an account on GoDaddy:
Visit the homepage and click the “Start for Free” button:
You’ll be redirected to a page where you’ll be prompted to sign up with your email, Google account or Facebook.
Once you choose an account and click Sign up, an account will be created for you and you’ll be prompted to configure your hosting account in a 2-step process. Fill in your info and personal details accordingly
In this case, I’m being asked what I want to name my website with. Once you have chosen a preferred name, click next to proceed. You’ll be led to your intuitive website builder to customize your website’s layout and UI
Here you can build elements from scratch or download already-made themes from the marketplace to save time.
GoDaddy Control Panel
Upon signing up, GoDaddy gives you access to a modern updated version of the traditional cPanel control panel from where you’re going to manage your website and configure your hosting account.
To log in to your cPanel, simply Go to your GoDaddy product page. Under Web Hosting, next to the Linux Hosting account you want to use, click Manage. Now you’re in the Dashboard for your Linux Hosting account.
Installing WordPress on GoDaddy
The best part of using GoDaddy hosting is that you have WordPress pre-installed on all shared and WordPress hosting plans. It doesn’t just stop there, the WordPress CMS is pre-installed with access to thousands of extensions, plugins, and themes.
Your WordPress is also updated automatically. That way, you don’t need to worry about installing the right WordPress version because GoDaddy handles it for you!
Add an email account on GoDaddy
The process for setting up email accounts on GoDaddy is quite straightforward. Here are the steps:
Sign in to your Email & Office Dashboard (use your GoDaddy username and password).
Click Add user to create an account. Keep in mind that, as a previously deleted user, you won’t be allowed to use your credit to do this until the previous account is deleted.
Choose one of the following steps based on the number and type of users you presently have in your account:
- If multiple accounts are present, select your preferred Microsoft 365 account type then click Get started.
- If only one account is present, just skip this step and proceed.
- If there are no users at all, then you need to purchase a new Microsoft 365 account so you can add users.
Pick your preferred domain and click Continue. You can also link an external domain. Provide the required details in the Create new email account page. Click Create and you’re all done.

Without a doubt, yes. GoDaddy is one of the best web hosts in the world. Why else would 21 million people use their services? Their plans are reasonably priced and give you value for your money.
It’s also very easy to use, regardless of whether you’re a hosting newbie or a hosting expert. Their support is excellent, though the only issue would be their lack of support for live chat in certain domains.
Not to mention their solid, feature-rich WordPress plans which provide everything you need to host and manage your WordPress site without hassles.
